Artemis’ eternally smooth, reflective voice joins deft breakbeat/trip-hop hybrids, bringing real depth and soul to the sometimes aloof genre of electronic music. Some of Gravity’s tracks are rich and symphonic ("Fountain of Life" and "Lagoon/Baba") while others are gorgeously finespun and understated ("Angel" and "Subterranean"), but the potent artistic vision here definitely unites them all and gives Gravity an overarching sense of purpose and drive.
